Alternate Media

Alternate media provides access to print material through different methods. Eligibility for this accommodation is determined on an individualized basis, and students must be able to demonstrate a substantial disability which requires the receipt of textbooks and other class materials in an alternate format.

Alternate media must be requested through MyAccess. Proof of purchase is required before CSD can provide alternate media and can be either physical or digital.  CSD will send approved students links to access their digital materials (if available).

Notetaking

Students who are approved for this accommodation can select from a number of notetaking options. The CSDTech Team will provide both the necessary materials and training to help the student succeed with their new notetaking strategy. Continuing support throughout the semester is also available.

Exams

CSD provides the Read & Write toolbar, a software that can read their exams aloud, for students approved for this accommodation.
