Meet with our CSDTech Team to explore a variety of software programs, apps, and other resources that can help build academic and life skills. Whatever it may be, we are here to support you in finding the right learning tools to meet your individual needs and learning styles.
We are constantly researching applications, software, and devices that can help benefit our student population. Our services include assessments and demonstrations, access to educational software, and equipment loans.

We Help With…
Technology for Specific Accommodations
Alternate Media
Alternate media provides access to print material through different methods. Eligibility for this accommodation is determined on an individualized basis, and students must be able to demonstrate a substantial disability which requires the receipt of textbooks and other class materials in an alternate format.
Alternate media must be requested through MyAccess. Proof of purchase is required before CSD can provide alternate media and can be either physical or digital. CSD will send approved students links to access their digital materials (if available).
Notetaking
Students who are approved for this accommodation can select from a number of notetaking options.
The CSDTech Team will provide both the necessary materials and training to help the student succeed with their new notetaking strategy.
Continuing support throughout the semester is also available.
Exams
CSD provides the Read & Write toolbar, a software that can read their exams aloud, for students approved for this accommodation.
Assistive Devices
Echo 2 Smartpen
The Livescribe Echo 2 Smartpen records lectures as the user takes notes and syncs the audio to the notes. The user can tap their notes with their pen to hear the audio that corresponds to that section. The synced audio and notes can be transferred to the user’s computer where they can listen to the audio by section, sort and save notes, and search for specific words.
Digital Recorder
Digital Recorders can be used to record lectures. CSDTech has several digital recorders available to loan to students.
Desktop Magnifiers
Desktop Magnifiers help students with visual disabilities read questions and view images while taking assessments at CSD. CSD currently offers access to ONYX and CloverBook Pro.
